Clubs & Activities

Students in grades 1-12 can participate in a variety of inclusive extracurricular activities that instill confidence, respect and sense of community. 85% of Villa students participate in at least one extracurricular.

  • Athletics

    Villa Madonna Academy fields varsity teams in archery, baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, esports, fast-pitch softball, golf, soccer, swimming/diving, tennis, track/field and volleyball.

  • Bring Change to Mind

    Villa's High School Bring Change to Mind chapter is part of a national organization that is committed to ending the stigma around mental health and building a community of peer support within schools.
  • Chess Club

    In HS/JH Chess Club is one of the offerings during weekly Club Days. It is open to everyone regardless of skill.
  • Doctor Who Club

    Our High School Doctor Who Club allows fans to unite and watch episodes together. Whovians meet during lunch.
  • Drama

    Opportunities in the field of drama are available to students who enroll in theater class. In addition, all students in grades 9-12 may audition for the annual fall play and spring musical.
  • Flag Football League

    The Flag Football League drafts players from grades 7-12 early in the fall. There are eight teams competing for the league championship. Games are played on Sunday afternoons at Villa and at Thomas More University.
  • French Club

    This club allows students to celebrate French culture and cuisine. It is open to students in grades 7-12. Meeting are held on Club Day.
  • High School Academic Team

    The Academic Team is a competitive scholastic team. There are two parts to the Academic Team season:  From September to the end of January, the team participates in the Northern Kentucky Academic Team League.

  • Intramurals

    Students in grades 7-12 are welcome to participate in a variety of activities but primarily play disc golf and pickleball on campus. Intramurals take place on Club Day.
  • Junior High Academic Team

    The Junior High (grades 7 and 8) Academic Team is a competitive scholastic team that competes in weekly Quick Recall matches.

  • Knitting/Crochet Club

    High School and junior high students interested in learning or sharing their knitting and crochet skills are invited to this club. Meetings are held on Club Day.
  • KYA & KUNA

    Kentucky Youth Assembly and Kentucky United Nations Assembly are open to grades 7-12. Students have weekly Y Club meetins to prepare for two three-day conferences hosted by the Kentucky YMCA Youth Assocation in Louisville. KYA and KUNA are designed to allow students to participate in model government programs.

  • Music Club

    The Music Club provides a free, creative environment where Villa’s HS/JH musicians can come together and just have a fun time playing music. Those who have no prior musical experience are welcome to join in, as well!
  • National Honor Society (NHS)

    NHS is foremost in organizations and societies dedicated to promoting appropriate recognition for students who reflect not only academic success but also the hallmarks of character, leadership and service.

  • National Junior Honor Society

    The National Junior Honor Society kicks off in January for junior high students to take part in National Honor Society endeavors and to build leadership skills.  This is an exciting program for students in grades 7 and 8.
  • O-Team

    This Orientation Team invites high school students to represent the school at activities that include open house, hospitality, mentor program, recruitment, etc. O-Team requires a commitment to many events and participants must apply and be selected to the organization.
  • Principal's Advisory Committe

    PAC meets monthly with the HS/JH principal, and together they engage in dialogue regarding the school, student input and suggestions, and other areas of interest. Meetings are usually held during the lunch period. Students in grades 7-11 must apply and be selected to the committee. Senior members remain from their junior year.
  • Spanish Club

    The High School Spanish Club celebrate the Spanish language and culture.
  • Spirit Club

    Spirit Club is open to all 7-12 students. They plan pep rallies, events at games, send-off celebrations for students in select academic and athletic competitions, and a variety of spirit and community-building activities.
  • Student Council

    Student Council is composed of voting members (class and school officers) who are elected by the students in grades 7-12. Meetings are held after school on Fridays or during Club Day. Student Council plans many activities throughout the school year.

    Students in grades 4-6 participate in Quick Recall matches against other schools in Northern Kentucky.

    Chess Club is offered based on student and parent interest.
  • Chorus

    Grades 4-6 are invited to join our Chorus. Weekly meetings are held after school. Students have the opportunity to sing at Mass and perform at Gallery Night in the spring.
  • Drama Club

    Students in grades 4-6 are invited to take the stage for Drama Club. Meetings take place after school. In the spring, there is a performance. Past performances have included Winnie the Pooh Jr., Willy Wonka Jr., and The Jungle Book Jr.
  • Kentucky Youth Assembly & Kentucky United Nations Assembly

    KYA and KUNA is open to 6th grade students. Students have Y Club meetings to prepare for three-day conferences in Louisville hosted by the Kentucky YMCA Youth Assocation. The conferences are designed to allow students to participate in model government programs.

    Students can learn about cooperation, creativity, and critical thinking in Robotisc Club. This club is offered based on student and parent interest.
  • Rosary Club

    Students in grades 1-6 are invited to join Rosary Club. Meetings include learning about the rosary, praying together, and working on a service project.
  • Scouts

    Scouting programs, both Scouts of America and Girl Scouts, are offered based on student and parent interest in forming a troop.
  • Servers Club

    Students in grades 4-6 interested in becoming a server at Mass can join this club to get all the training they need.
