An Education Experience Rooted in Benedictine Tradition
History and heritage surround us with a Benedictine tradition that dates back to 1904. Villa Madonna Academy is a private, Catholic, co-ed, K-12 school, built on the Benedictine values of scholarship, service, respect, hospitality, prayer, reverence, and peace.

Our customized academics, inclusive extracurricular activities, and community service broaden students’ life experience while instilling confidence, respect, and a sense of community.

  • Our History

The Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery, who founded the school, celebrate the presence of Jesus Christ and serve him in all God's people, the young and the old, the sick and the poor, the stranger and the guest. Their educational philosophy flows directly from the teachings of St. Benedict. These values of education are very much alive in Villa classrooms today and throughout Villa's curriculum.

Our 2026 Graduates at a Glance

Welcome to Villa Madonna Academy, where every day is a new adventure!

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Joe Cordonnier, the High School/Junior High Principal. I’ve spent my entire 25-year career here as a teacher, parent, coach, and assistant principal. It has been a passion and a vocation to educate young people and watch them explore and grow along the journey.

Our school, as founded by the Benedictine Sisters, has a mission and call to Ora et Labora, prayer and work. Villa excels at educating to the highest standards and helping students get into the universities of their dreams – often with full tuition scholarships.

We provide opportunities for student leadership through our ingrained house program. Our sports teams offer top notch training and opportunities to be in the action right away. Villa's Lighthouse Program works with students as early at 7th grade to provide skills and independence to those with learning differences, and it highlights the powers that come with those differences.

If you are willing to fully immerse into our community and truly join our family, your potential is unchartable. We will never let you settle for anything less than your best. Here, you will meet lifelong friends and be a trusted partner in your education. We hold one another accountable to the highest standards of education, community, and responsibility. Vikings innovate and think differently. That is why our graduates are so successful and why you need to check us out.

See you soon,

Mr. Joe Cordonnier
