The Fischer family joined the Most Rev. John Iffert, Bishop of Covington, and members of the Villa Madonna Academy High School/Junior High community for the dedication of the Chase and Cole Fischer STEM Wing. Renovations began in 2025 and were completed in time for the 2026-2027 school year.
Executive director, Pamela McQueen said, “This wing was made possible through an extraordinary act of generosity, and it is dedicated in honor of Chase and Cole. It stands as a lasting tribute to two young lives whose joy, kindness, laughter, and spirit touched so many of us. It stands as a tribute to their enduring curiosity, their sense of adventure, and the goodness and grace that they brought to our campus.”
The wing features a student commons, the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Innovation Lab, the James and Rebecca Bilbo Biology Lab, as well as labs for chemistry and physics. There are also lasers, 3D printers, wood working tools, a heat press, and much more.
Joe Cordonnier, high school principal, “For years, we have told the students and the community, just wait. You are going to be amazed at what’s coming and looking at your faces, I think we got that.” He added, “I hope to see students making things that I never dreamed possible.”
We are so thankful for the generosity and tireless support of the Fischer family for this project. We also thank St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the Bilbo and Gerakos families for their contributions to the STEM Wing. We cannot wait to see what students create there!
