How is drop-off and pickup handled?
Arrival for K-6 students begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Holy Spirit entrance, and dismissal is at 2:35. For grades 7-12, the doors open at 7:15. Junior High and High School students who don't drive are dropped off in the main parking lot. Dismissial for 7-12 is at 3:00 p.m., and Junior High students are picked up at the Holy Spirit entrance. Grades 9-12 dismiss from the main or senior parking lots.
Our elementary principal, Mrs. Bosley, and other members of the faculty will be at the door to assist students as needed. Each family receives a carpool sign to display on the dashboard or visor of the car. A teacher will call your carpool as you move through the carpool line. Other teachers will assist students as they get into their car. Parents are asked to pull their car through the line to drop off/pick up students as this is the safest way for the students. K-6 students who arrive or dismiss with a 7-12 grade student may walk to and from the main parking lot with the older student if permitted by the parent.
For high school and junior high, there are two parking lots. The senior parking lot is the first parking lot on your left as you enter the campus. Drop-off & pickup takes place in the adjacent parking lot after the senior parking lot. Pull into that lot and proceed to take your place in line. The traffic flows in the shape of a “U”. After dropping off your child, pull forward and exit the lot by turning right. In the afternoon for High School student pickup, drivers must pull into a spot and wait for their student to come to the car. Junior High students are picked up at the Holy Spirit doors.
