We are thrilled to be able to offer the program here at Villa! AP Capstone is a two-year long program that starts with AP Seminar and concludes with AP Research. They are different from other courses because they are not subject-specific. Students build skills in research, analysis, writing, presenting, and collaborating. They become critical, independent thinkers.
In AP Seminar, students focus on real-world issues and explore various perspectives. In AP Research, students explore an issue in which they have an interest and design a yearlong investigation into that issue. It culiminates with a 4,000+ word academic paper and a presentation with an an oral defense.
