Ways to Give
Villa Madonna Academy offers a range of gift-planning options to donors. Feel free to construct your gift with the asset or assets most suited to your financial situation. Contributions may be made using any asset and transfer vehicle, such as:
Cash Gifts - Most gifts are made with outright cash contributions. The school appreciates cash gifts or contributions via credit card. Your cash gift is tax-deductible in the year of the gift.
Matching Gifts - Donors are encouraged to contact their employer to take advantage of any matching gift programs offered. Having an employer match a gift leverages your gift to a higher level. Click here to determine if your company offers a gift-matching program.
Securities - Appreciated securities are an excellent asset to use in making a charitable gift. You can maximize tax savings by receiving an income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value of the appreciated securities, and you may avoid capital gains tax.
Bequests/Planned Gift - There are many kinds of planned gifts, including, but not limited to: simple bequests in a will or an estate plan, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and non-cash assets. Click below for more information.
Endow Kentucky - Looking for a tax-smart way to support VMA? Donations usually earn you a tax deduction -- but a tax credit is even better for your bottom line! Thanks to Endow Kentucky, beginning on July 1 of every year, $1 million in state tax credits will be available for qualified endowment fund donations. But you must act quickly; the allocation is expected to deplete within a week. Interested donors are encouraged to submit the one-page Endow KY Application (PDF below) with the Department of Revenue between July 1 and July 7. Please consider taking advantage of this limited-time opportunity to make a gift to the Villa Madonna Academy Endowed Fund at Horizon Community Funds of NKY.
