Welcome!

I am honored to serve as principal of such a wonderful school community.  Working alongside such a knowledgeable and professional staff, a caring group of parents, and talented students is a true privilege.  At Villa Madonna Academy students experience stimulating, nurturing, differentiated instruction rooted in Catholic faith that is centered on the Benedictine values.  With our small class sizes and highly skilled and dedicated staff, we are able to nurture our students in a supportive environment that meet their needs, cultivate their interests, and help them grow. 

We strive to build our students’ critical thinking and literacy skills.  To succeed in the 21^st century, our students need to be able to communicate effectively, problem solve, and have strong interpersonal skills.  Villa Madonna Academy builds this foundation in our students by offering a rigorous and engaging academic program.  Students are afforded varied learning opportunities and technology is integrated into instruction, including iPads, computers, and Smart boards.  Additionally, students are exposed to a specialized instruction in the area of music, art, computers, world languages (Spanish and French), library, and physical education.  As a result of our strong academic foundation, our students’ standardized test scores are significantly higher than the Diocesan, state, and national averages and have earned our school the distinction of a National Blue Ribbon School.

The Benedictine values of reverence and peace, scholarship, service, and community are modeled by the faculty and staff to help students integrate the values into their own daily lives.  Service learning activities intrinsically support and enhance the mission of Villa Madonna Academy.  We have been recognized by the Mayerson Foundation as a School of Contribution for the past thirteen years for the service learning projects that students and faculty have been doing at VMA.
